What could be better than one person’s expect advice!  Lots of people sharing their experience with you.  The case of “been there…done that” is particularly appealing on mamasource.com.  Be it a picky 4 year old only wanting to eating food that is pink, an embarrassing personal matter that is easier to discuss with other mom’s who might have gone through the same thing or the best childcare for your family.  I’ll get back to that in a moment.    I personally responded when a women was asking for ideas of what to do or fun games to play at a baby shower.  Seeing that I had just gone to a baby shower the week before & we decorated picture frames for the baby’s room & painted onesies for the new baby, I was thrilled to share this with the aunt asking for advice to make her niece’s party a special, memorable day.

Okay, back to affordable & flexible childcare.   I am kind of partial to having a family host an au pair.  I work for a great company, Cultural Care Au Pair, who has been legally bring au pairs into the USA for over 19 years.  Au pairs from 40 countries are represented…young men & women, ages 18-26 years old.  It’s a great way for your family to be introduced to another cultural as well as providing an international slant on your childcare.  AND WE HAVE SUMMER AU PAIR, TOO!!  This is a great way to try out in your home an au pair during three months in the summer.

My host families know the joy of having an au pair.  I want to introduce you to mamasource.com when you feel the need to gather ideas, share your thoughts or find new resources for doctors, restaurants, mother-owned business and MORE!  Sign up today.  It’s a great way to feel connected to our local community ‘cuz being a parent in the 21st century is a tough job…but someone has to do it :-)

If your a newbie reading my blog, please have a look around the world of au pairs.  It will be an education for you if you are only familiar with nannies or housekeepers.  And, thank you for reading my blog today.
