KIDS FIRST Garage Antiques & Bake sale. 29 Au Pairs + 1 LCC = Super Success!
We called it a GAB…Garage Antiques Bake sale. The event was held at Lee’s home on Sunday, Sept. 9th. Many host families and au pairs contributed clothing, electronic items, toys and books to the sale. The yummy baked goodies were a hit! Au pairs signed up for 3 hour shifts. 99% of the au pairs had never participated in a yard sale as it seems to be a typically American happening. A big plus was when the au pairs were invited to speak at the local church in the neighborhood. Many parishioners shopped at the GAB after attending church services. It was fun, a bit tiring but at the end of the day, we all had big smiles on our faces because we had raised $1,050 for Kids First.
